With over twenty years experience in the technology sector, Richard Jerothe has gained a diverse knowledge of most aspects of information systems management. Additionally, with experience in several industries as well as a wide range of company sizes, Richard has an excellent perspective of business.
Working with companies varying from small startup businesses, through fortune 500 organizations, he understands organizational culture and growth. This coupled with industry experience within Healthcare, Manufacturing, Technology, Consumer Goods and Pharmaceuticals provides for an ideal mix of expertise. He knows what it takes to watch the bottom line, energize a team and apply technology to achieve an organization’s business goals.
Richard started his career working full time for IBM while finishing his Bachelor of Arts degree after hours. Gaining experience in business, he went on to run a small consulting company providing full technology services from network implementations to database design. After several accomplishments as a consultant, his focus on infrastructure began to take shape. Moving on to companies such as American Cyanamid and Asea Brown Boveri, he was able to gain extensive understanding of network design, systems management and data center operations.
For about eight years Richard worked for the country's third largest not-for-profit healthcare system, North Shore-LIJ Health System. Within his tenure, he has achieved several major accomplishments in implementing state of the art technologies including converged networks and enterprise storage management while gaining extensive experience within the healthcare industry.
Richard gained a deeper understanding of some of the challenges facing that Pharmaceutical industry. During his term with OSI Pharmaceuticals, he was actively involved in the financial (Sarbanes Oxley) and regulatory compliance initiatives, Business Continuity, Facilities / Data Center relocations, and telecommunications audits, too mention a few. Richard’s background helped the organization support these projects while maintaining reliable systems infrastructure and computer operations.
Richard departed Pharmaceuticals to establish a consulting business. Currently as the Principal Consultant of JC Servcies, the business provides specialized services ranging from management consulting, technology assessments, infrastructure design and project management.
